Zip It

I recently attended a 3 day sewing, quilting & embroidery retreat in central Illinois. It was a fun, informative event. I attended classes on my machine embroidery software and a few hands on project classes.

Here's one of the projects I made.

Maybe you'll be more impressed after it's zipped up :)

The class was taught by Mary Mulari
The project is from her new "Zip & Carry Bags" book.

I also attended a class on "Square In A Square".
I was amazed at how easy it was. The ruler can look intimidating, but once you know how to use it, it's really easy & fun. I still have to add the border to the sample I made in the class. I'll post a pic when it's done.

Not sure why this photo is sideways. I'll try to fix that later.

Monogrammed Buckle & Belt

I tried my hand at making a belt. Of course, I had to make a matching monogrammed buckle :)

I wanted something to wear with black pants or khakis.
I'm going to make another one to wear with jeans for this Fall.

You can download my instructions & files to make a belt for yourself from my web site by clicking HERE

New Quilted & Plain Wristlets *InTheHoop*

My new Wristlets turned out so cute! I love the quilting on these and adding a monogram really makes them stand out.
I've created the designs in 5x7 & 6x10 sizes.
The 6x10 size is really roomy.
The 5x7 is perfect for when you want to run out for some errands.

Both Wristlets are made 'in the hoop'. The quilted Wristlets require 2 hoopings. The back of the wristlet is quilted too!

You can read more about these new machine embroidery designs here.

Here's the 6x10 Quilted Wristlet shown with a monogram.

Here are the 5x7 Quilted & Plain Wristlet. The Plain one has a monogram.

This photo shows the difference in the 6x10 & 5x7 size.

Cake Pincushion & Wedding Keepsake ~ New Designs

How about a delicious chocolate cake with pink frosting . . . not to eat :) to put your pins in while you sew!
My new 'Piece of Cake' Pincushion (machine embroidery design) can be made in any flavor combination.

The sections of the cake are made & quilted in the hoop. Then you sew the sections together on a sewing machine.

There's icing on the end.

I've also created a Wedding Keepsake using my cake pincushion.
This one is made from my wedding gown and that's a bit of my veil in the ruffle on the top. I covered the sides with some of the lace from my gown.

I personalized it with our names and date of marriage.

I think this would make a wonderful gift for the new bride or a special anniversary gift for someone.

NEW MACHINE EMBROIDERY AD LIST

Are you into machine embroidery?
Do you like to know what new designs are available?

If you want to find out what's new from your favorite machine embroidery digitizers without having to wade through a bunch of chit chat, this is the list for you.

We're all limited on time and we all know we spend too much time on the computer :)

I've created a new Yahoo group that will only contain ads from your favorite designers. There will be no chit chat to wade through to get to what we all want . . . to know what's NEW out there.

How many times have you skimmed through a list or deleted emails that were of no interest to you just to get to an ad you WANT to see?? Or have been on a list with so much drama, you couldn't wait to unsub from it.

You won't have that problem on this list. There will be no other posting than from approved digitizers.

The list is small now, but it's growing a bit everyday.
Please join and spread the word and the link to the list.
