Wristlet - InTheHoop Machine Embroidery Design

My new Wristlet design is finished.
I'm really happy with how it turned out.

It's completely made in the hoop. It's lined and has an outer zippered pocket that can hold change, ID, debit/credit cards, etc.
You can use ribbon for the strap, or make a fabric strap like in my sample. Detailed instructions are included. On my sample, I opted to use a split ring and snap hook. This is optional. The strap can be plain with no additional hardware.
You can make a 'lapped' zipper for the pocket, as I did in my sample. An alternate way is included in the instructions.
I will be working a 5x7 version too.

13.1 ~ DONE!

I've finished my Half Marathon training.
I ran the 13.1 miles today in just under 2:23.
Fortunately, the weather had cooled down a bit. I went out early. The last 2 miles were rough, but I made it :)
I'm going to take this week off of running and let my legs, hamstring & hips recover.
I'll gradually start back running again after the holiday weekend.

. . . wipe me booty

I finished this machine embroidery design yesterday and put it on a onesie.
I used a lightweight cutaway stabilizer and Heat N Gone on top when I did the lettering.
This design is available on my web site.

Golf Towels

Our neighborhood has an annual golf outing.
This is the 2nd year for it.
I'm giving the guys embroidered golf towels. I designed the 'logo'.
Hopefully, they'll like them :)

SWEET Cupcake Gift Card Holder

How adorable is this???
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
I saw a youtube video on making one. It's easy to make, but a bit time consuming.

Pull the cherry on top to reveal the gift card!

I used ribbon for mine, mostly 7/8". I can see adding all sorts of trims, etc. to one.

I'll be making more of these this year for gifts.

Reen Runs

I've ran for almost the last 12 years, but for the last few years I've been in a running rut.
About 6 weeks ago, I decided to try the Half Marathon training. I'm following Hal Higdon's program.
I'm on week 9 now. It's been going well. This Sunday I have to run 9 miles. That will be a test for me. I'm going to add an 11 & 12 mile run in also before the 13.1run.

I just got the Nike+ Sensor. It's really kewl. It will track your runs, distance, calories burned, etc. You can upload this info on nikeplus.com and set up teams, challenges, etc. The site is a little confusing, but I think they're going to be changing it up soon. All you need is the sensor set & an iPod.

I got new shoes, but didn't get the high priced Nike+ "Smart Shoe". Basically, those shoes have a hole under the removeable insole to place the sensor in.

Of course, I had to make an "In the Hoop" machine embroidery design for my sensor :)
My pouch is held securely to any running shoe and the sensor fits snugly inside.
You can find the deisgn on my website.
