POINSETTIA PINS

Nothing says Christmas like a poinsettia.
These beauties are quick to stitch and look great in a variety of colors of felt.

My poinsettias can be used as pins, magnets, hair clips, etc.

I've also included printable cards to attach a pin to, perfect for gift giving.

Snowmen Peppermint Patties

I had to do some sort of snowman project this year. I've been so busy with my web site that I was glad I could squeeze a little crafty time in for me.

These little guys cover the top of a peppermint patty candy. I really love York Dark Chocolate Peppermint Patties, but they're packaged in loose rectangles. I got small round peppermint patties at WalMart.

I cut the black scallops & white circles from cardstock using my Cricut machine.
The scallops are cut at 1.75" and the circles at 1.50". Use double stick tape to secure the circle on top of the scallop.

I used rouge and a stiff brush to apply a little blush at the cheeks. The end of a paintbrush dipped in black paint makes the eyes and mouth. Add and orange nose and he's done.

After the paint dries, apply double stick tape to the back and stick the snowman to the back of the peppermint patty. Yummy!

Nativity Tealight Covers

I've had a lot of requests to design a Nativity set of tealight covers after the overwhelming response to my Holiday Tealight Covers after being released.

These machine embroidery designs fit over small battery-operated tealights.
The light shines through the felt. Some of the tealights flicker creating a nice effect.

I've received many emails from people saying they're doing very well selling my Holiday Tealight Covers at craft shows this year.
I'm sure this set will sell just as well.

Burlap Holiday Stockings

I love all the burlap stockings I've seen popping up all over the internet. The natural, organic look & feel is perfect for my Holiday decorating this year.
I want things to blend in with my decor. I'm trying to stay away from the traditional Christmas red and green this year.

The burlap was very easy to work with. I used the natural color and a nice soft green burlap. Paired with a crisp white textured cuff really makes them pop.

I embellished them with burlap flowers and leaves and a large button. Twine makes the perfect hanging loop.

I also made a burlap table runner and will try to post a photo of my Thanksgiving table next week.

HOLIDAY TEALIGHT COVERS

I designed these adorable covers for small battery operated tealights.
These are machine embroidery designs that stitch up quick!

You can use them as table decorations, party favors, ornaments, package ties, etc. The tealights are readily available at major dept stores.
I created a 'glowing village' scene.

Autumn Tree

I wanted something on a large scale for my dining room table. Something that could be used Fall through Thanksgiving. Something different.

Here's what I'm calling my 'Autumn Tree'. It's full of craftiness.

It's a 4' Christmas Tree decorated with fabric pumpkins I made from upholstery scraps, with branches for stems and leaves cut from a felted green wool sweater.

The garland is strips of burlap I frayed and sewed end to end. I also added a berry garland for color.

After painting little wooden pieces for the signs, I added the sayings I cut from vinyl on my Cricut. After drilling holes in them, I attached them to the tree with twine.

I wrapped a pale gold color sheer curtain panel around the bottom to hide the stand and finish it off.

I ♥ it!

The DIY Dish Mannequin Pincushion

The girls at DIY Dish created a cute dressform pincushion.

I just had to make one.

After digging through my stash and not coming up with any fabric I wanted to use, I printed my own. I scanned part of the instructions from an old pattern. I printed it onto Crafter's Image Photo Transfer Paper and cut out the pieces.

It was simple to sew. I added a thimble for the 'head' and cut up an old tape measure to dress up the waistline.
A candlestick from the thrift store is used for the base.

My Pumpkin Grew Up

Remember when I first showed you my pumpkin sprouting, HERE

Well, here he is all grown up!

He didn't make it to the 400 lbs the package said it would.
Pumpkins are harder to grow than I thought.

I'll harvest him in a few weeks and turn him into a JackO'Lantern.

Always Kiss Me ♥

I made this to go in one of the bedrooms.
It fits in perfectly with the black, white and dark aqua colors.

The font is Scriptina & Times New Roman. I machine embroidered the quote onto wool felt and cut it to fit in the frame under glass.
The lips were cut out of black vinyl on my Cricut and adhered on top of the glass.
