Grinch Glass Block & Purdue Ornament
I've been playing with my Cricut again ♥
One of my sons goes to Purdue University. The other graduated from there. When I saw these gold ornaments, I knew I wanted to make these. Boiler Up!
I ♥ the Grinch! I saw an svg file on this BLOG and thought it would look cute on a glass block.
I better get back to sewing/embroidering :)

More Cricut fun!
When I ran across these black ornaments at Hobby Lobby, I knew I needed them for something :)
These will be a gift for the girl who does my hair. She's into Twilight.
I made the lighted glass block for me! I plan on doing a few more of these. They're addicting.

Stocking with Ruffled Cuff
I made this stocking using the 'Magic' Stocking pattern.
I created the ruffled cuff using strips cut from old tee shirts.
The strips were gathered up and sewn onto the cuff then the cuff was sewn to the stocking.

Santa Softies ~ New!
My Santa Softies are ready!
They fit the 5x7 & 6x10 hoops. They are set up to have the embroidery machine sew on the rick rack.
I think they look adorable in the non-traditional pink fleece.
Baby blue, royal blue, dark green and a Christmasy plaid would also look great.
Use them as toys or decorations.
I added a matching Santa Quilt Block to the set.
I added some rickrack and another border to make this little hanging pillow.

Zip It
I recently attended a 3 day sewing, quilting & embroidery retreat in central Illinois. It was a fun, informative event. I attended classes on my machine embroidery software and a few hands on project classes.
Here's one of the projects I made.
Maybe you'll be more impressed after it's zipped up :)
The class was taught by Mary Mulari
The project is from her new "Zip & Carry Bags" book.
I also attended a class on "Square In A Square".
I was amazed at how easy it was. The ruler can look intimidating, but once you know how to use it, it's really easy & fun. I still have to add the border to the sample I made in the class. I'll post a pic when it's done.

I tried my hand at making a belt. Of course, I had to make a matching monogrammed buckle :)
I wanted something to wear with black pants or khakis.

New Quilted & Plain Wristlets *InTheHoop*
My new Wristlets turned out so cute! I love the quilting on these and adding a monogram really makes them stand out.
I've created the designs in 5x7 & 6x10 sizes.
The 6x10 size is really roomy.
The 5x7 is perfect for when you want to run out for some errands.
Both Wristlets are made 'in the hoop'. The quilted Wristlets require 2 hoopings. The back of the wristlet is quilted too!
You can read more about these new machine embroidery designs here.
Here's the 6x10 Quilted Wristlet shown with a monogram.
